What is digital radiology?
A representation of possible the greatest technological advance in medical imaging over the past decade, digital radiology is a form of x-raying images. X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film.
Advantages of digital radiology:
The physician is able to view the image, often with a report, just minutes after the examination. The x-ray image can be made available as a digital file for future interpretation and saved in the patient's medical records.
