Volunteers needed for event promoting safe gun storage
Published May 26, 2015
Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, in partnership with Seattle Children’s, is coordinating an event about safe gun storage, especially for homes with children and teens. The event takes place 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 in Monroe.
We need 10 to 15 volunteers to help make this safety event a success. Providence caregivers, members of Safe Kids, and friends and family members who are 18 or older are welcome to volunteer. No experience is necessary. Event staff will ensure volunteers are assigned clear roles and comfortable with their tasks.
Volunteers will help with greeting the public, sign-in and registration, filling out release forms, conducting surveys, traffic control, crowd management and safety, “Kids Corner” activities, and other event needs.
While the event time is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., volunteers may need to be available as early as 7 a.m. to help with set-up.
