Flu Stops Here: Get Vaccinated Beginning Friday, September 26
Published September 15, 2014
To protect the people we serve and each other, every caregiver (employee) is encouraged to be vaccinated against the flu. You can get the vaccine at work for free, beginning Friday, September 26. This year's vaccination clinics are being offered at:
Pacific Campus (Radiology Waiting Room- across the hall from the Lab)
- Friday, Sept. 26 and Monday, Sept. 29 from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Colby Campus (Mother Joseph Concourse across from the Chapel)
- Friday, Oct. 3 and Monday, Oct. 6 from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
For a healthy adult, flu is a major inconvenience; no one wants to spend a week or two sick in bed. For a patient with a weakened immune system, an older person or a very small child, exposure to the flu poses the risk of dangerous complications – or even death.
If you miss the flu clinic, you can still get the vaccine at employee health during regular office hours. Call employee health at 425-261-4486 for more information. You may also check your health plan benefits to identify other options.
