Get Ready for Open Enrollment for 2015 Benefits, Starting Oct. 13

Published September 15, 2014

Open enrollment is your once-a-year chance to change your benefit selections, enroll in flexible spending accounts, and add or remove dependents. This year, open enrollment will be done almost entirely online. Starting on Monday, October 13, you can enroll or make changes via ProvConnect (Lawson). All changes must be made by 5 p.m. PT on Monday, Oct. 27.

What to Expect

You will have the same medical, dental and vision plan options in 2015, and – great news – premiums are not increasing this year!

We are Going Paperless (Mostly)

As part of our continuing efforts to reduce costs and be good stewards of the Earth, we are going paperless as much as possible.

Starting on Monday, Sept. 30, most information about Providence benefits and open enrollment can be found at http://benefits.providence.org. This website will be accessible from your home computer or mobile device, so that you can make these important decisions with your family members. A postcard notice will be sent to your home and there will be additional open enrollment information posted online, including:

  • Your interactive 2015 benefits open enrollment guide
  • A new interactive tool to help you learn more about your benefit options and help you choose what plans might be best for you, featuring “Alex,” your virtual benefits counselor
  • A listing of regional open enrollment webinars where you can listen to a benefits overview and ask questions

Reminder: Health Incentive
Be sure you have read the information on changes to the health incentive for 2015. There are no biometric screenings this year, but you can still earn up to a $1,400 health incentive by taking a health assessment and participating in a well-being activity by Dec. 31.
