Wireless Internet Access
At Providence St. Peter Hospital, we understand that staying or waiting at the hospital isn’t always convenient. In an effort to make your time as enjoyable as possible, Providence offers wireless Internet access to our patients, guests and visitors. You can check e-mail, browse the wireless Web or work from the comfort of one of the many locations where Wi-Fi is accessible.
What equipment do I need?
You can use your laptop, notebook or tablet PC to access the Internet. Some newer computers already are equipped with wireless capabilities. If your computer is not Wi-Fi ready, wireless network cards are available at most major electronics stores.
- Step 1: Start with your computer device powered off. Make sure all network or wireless cards are properly installed and enabled.
- Step 2: Start your computer and launch your browser. Your default Internet home page (e.g., Google, Yahoo, etc.) should open.
Still not connected? Try these steps:
Step 3: Close your browser, turn off all proxies, firewalls or VPN programs. Restart your browser.
Step 4: Set your SSID to “guest” (lowercase letters without quotes).
