Safe Crossings Program

The Safe Crossings Program is Providence Hospice of Seattle’s Pediatric Grief Support Program. This program serves any grieving child or teen requesting grief support in King County and offers all services free of charge. This is possible through generous donations from the community.

  • Events: Throughout the year, Safe Crossings offers seasonal events for grieving families to come together as a community in remembrance of loved ones who have died.
  • School Groups: Safe Crossings provides grief support groups in schools across King County. Groups focus on educating participants about grief and bereavement as well as normalizing and creating community around their experiences with loss.
  • Standing Together Monthly Support Group: A free monthly grief support program is held at our Tukwila office from January to April. Led by trained staff and volunteers, groups are held for elementary aged children, teens, and caregivers. At Standing Together participants have opportunities to share, engage in creative expression, and build community with others who have experienced loss.
