Individual support: Short-term grief support and education is available to individuals and families following the death of a significant person.

Support groups offer an opportunity to meet with trained facilitators and other individuals who have experienced a loss. The monthly groups listed below are open to anyone in the community experiencing a loss in the past 15 months. Thurston County:
Adult grief support group

  • 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month (excluding holidays), 10-11:30 a.m.

  • 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month (excluding holidays), 1:30-3:00 pm

Thurston County:
Family grief support group

The SoundCareKids program welcomes families with children age 5 to 18. Children, teens and parents meet in small groups according to age range: 5-8 years, 9-12 years, 13-18 years, parents/guardians.

  • Thursdays from 6:15-7:45 p.m. when in session. Sessions offered in the fall, winter and spring. Pre-registration is required.

  • Memorial Services: An annual memorial is available to anyone in the community grieving the loss of a loved one. Contact our office for more information.
  • Navigating Grief & the Holidays Workshop: Provides practical information about how to care for yourself and your family during this special and potentially challenging time of year. Contact our office for more information.

Thurston/Mason County Crisis Line: The Crisis clinic offers 24/7 continuous support for anyone in crisis. For immediate support call 360-586-2800.

Lewis County Crisis Line: The Lewis County Crises Line is a 24-hour service provided by Cascade Mental Health Clinic. During business hours please ask to speak with the Designated Mental Health Professional (DMHP). For immediate support call 360-748-6696 or 800-559-6696.
