Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care
Providence provides enhanced professional care for individuals living with chronic and/or disabling dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Non-medical interventions, such as massage therapy, music therapy, and animal-assisted activities, complement the medical and social support patients receive during treatment.
Hospice care helps patients and their families make informed choices, provides companionship to patients and respite to caregivers, provides grief support, and identifies key community services that can be of assistance.
Respite care gives full-time caregivers a break to take care of their own needs and then come back to their caregiver role revitalized and better able to care for loved one.
Providence Health & Services offers housing resources and options to meet the differing needs of seniors.
Skilled Nursing Care
Primary healthcare for seniors living in nursing homes. Our doctors do routine exams and help you manage illness, chronic disease and medications – in the nursing home itself. We want to help you feel better, keep you well and avoid ambulance and hospital expenses.
Speech or language pathologists focus on evaluating, diagnosing and treating people with oral communication disorders. Speech therapists are instrumental in preventing problems related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice and fluency. This includes both receptive (understanding speech) and expressive (speaking) communication problems. Speech therapists also treat people with swallowing disorders due to stroke, brain injury or nervous system impairments.
Our chaplains and spiritual care team supports all patients and their families inclusive and respectful of all spiritual beliefs.
Transitional Care and Rehabilitation
Our short-stay transitional care and rehabilitation programs will help you transition from the hospital to home after an injury, accident, surgery (such as knee and hip replacement), or serious and/or prolonged illness.
