Providence Neuroscience Institute

Thank you for choosing the Providence Neuroscience Institute to partner with you in your care.

Our doctors will review your referral and make a recommendation for the most appropriate physician in the Institute to treat you. Most of our patients begin by seeing a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist who—if it is appropriate—will explore with you non-surgical, conservative treatment options. If surgery is recommended, you will see a neurosurgeon to review surgical options.

Our Services

  • Neurologic Diagnostic Imaging

Neurological diagnostic exams asses your motor and sensory skills, the functioning of cranial nerves, hearing and speech, vision, coordination and balance, mental status, and changes in mood or behavior, among other abilities.
  • Neurological Rehabilitation

We treat patients with a variety of neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, strokes, myasthenia gravis, Guillan-Barré and many more.
  • Neurology

Your brain and nervous system communicate through a series of electrical signals. When this intricate communication system is disrupted, you’ll likely need to see a neurologist. The expert team at Providence Neurology Specialists treats a range of neurologic conditions.
  • Neurosurgery

Neurosurgery is the surgical treatment of problems of the nervous system. In addition to the brain diseases that most people associate with the field, neurosurgeons treat back and neck pain, spinal arthritis and herniated discs, spinal fractures and injuries.
  • Physiatry

At Providence, our physiatrists' goal is to make patients feel better and be able to live well by restoring function that's been lost due to injury, illness or a disabling condition.
  • Spine Program

Providence Spine Program specializes in comprehensive screening, diagnosis and treatment of recent neck, back and spine injuries, as well as unresolved neurological and/or neurosurgical disorders of the back, neck or spine.
  • Sports Medicine

Sports medicine involves non-operative orthopedic care for patients who experience sports and exercise-related injuries. We work closely with local orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, radiologists and athletic trainers.
