Our Services

  • Cardiac Surgery

Providence offers the latest surgical techniques and innovations, performed by experienced board-certified cardiothoracic surgeons.
  • Heart Valve Surgery

Heart valves such as the mitral, aortic and triscuspid valves may require surgical treatment when they are not properly pumping blood through the heart. Most operations are performed on the mitral or aortic valves, both located in the left side of the heart.
  • Maze Procedure

The maze procedure was developed to interrupt atrial fibrillation’s irregular electrical patterns. During the procedure, the surgeon creates scar tissue in the atria with radio frequency waves. Formation and conduction of irregular electrical impulses are stopped. The scar tissue produces "dead ends," channeling the normal electrical impulses along a permanent new pathway.
  • Cardiac Catheterization

Cardiac catheterization, often referred to as "heart cath," is an X-ray study of the heart used to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions.
  • Cardiac Hospice

We support you and your family by helping manage your heart disease in the comfort of your home. Our goal is to minimize your pain, discomfort, visits to the emergency room and hospitalization.
  • Cardiac Imaging

Cardiac Imaging includes echocardiography, nuclear cardiac imaging, CT angiography and cardiac MRI. Your cardiac physician may order imaging tests to diagnosis your condition.
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiac Rehabilitation involves exercise, education and professional medical guidance designed to help you recover safely from a cardiac procedure.
  • Cardiac Surgery Single Stay Unit

The unit consists of patient rooms with private bathrooms, and the most technologically advanced equipment available, allowing for the best possible cardiac surgery patient care.
  • Cardiology

The board certified cardiologists at Providence will evaluate your condition, recommend a treatment plan tailored to you and help you learn how to best manage your heart health.
  • Congenital Heart Disease

Providence brings together the skills of specialists in the areas of cardiology, cardiac surgery and cardiac anesthesiology to deliver expert personalized care for infants, children and adolescents, and adults with congenital heart disease.
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery

Coronary artery bypass surgery utilizes a healthy blood vessel removed from your leg, arm or chest wall. These grafts are then implanted on to the heart’s surface to allow blood flow to bypass the narrowed or blocked arteries. Although both veins and arteries can be used, our surgeons use arteries when possible because studies have shown that they remain open longer than veins.
  • Mended Hearts

Mended Hearts is the largest peer-to-peer support organization in the U.S. With over 300 chapters nationwide, Mended Hearts works to educate and support those afflicted with heart disease.

Critical Care Unit

Our Critical Care Units are staffed by a team of highly skilled professionals, all specially trained in the science of caring for cardiac patients. A higher nurse-to-patient radio and patient-centered care mean patients and their families receive the best education and support vital to a successful recovery.

Telemetry Floors

As patients recover from surgery, they transition from Critical Care Unit to one of our Telemetry Floors. This allows for specialized monitoring and nursing care, specific to heart patients, while also preparing patients for successful recovery after discharge.

Cardiac Rehabilitation

Our cardiac rehab team includes exercise physiologists and registered nurses who have special training in coronary care, cardiovascular disease and cardiac rehabilitation. A cardiologist and diabetes educator also provide education classes as part of the cardiac rehabilitation program.
