Emergency Center Crisis Services

The Providence St. Peter Hospital Crisis Services counselors and technicians provide clinical support for persons who present to the ER with symptoms of a mental illness, who are in emotional distress, or who are struggling with addiction issues. The crisis services staff complete an assessment to determine the safety needs of the patient. They also offer crisis intervention and assessment for the need for inpatient mental health treatment and outpatient referrals. The crisis services staff also provide discharge planning and community resources to best meet the needs of patients and their families.

Psychiatrists and nurse practitioners offer psychiatric treatment in our hospital-based clinic.
