The 2019 High School Summer Volunteer Program will take place from June 26 – September 1, 2019 and will require 100 hours of volunteer service. This 10-week commitment includes a volunteer assignment in a hospital setting, as well as one week of service at Camp Prov, which is a day camp in Everett for children who have special needs.

Typically the High School Program starts last week of June and goes through the day before Labor Day. Dates will be included in the informational emails and applications.

All applicants must be current sophomores, juniors or seniors in high school.
All volunteers must complete the health requirements with Providence Caregiver Health at the Colby Campus in order to meet the compliance requirements.
All volunteers for the High School Program and their parent or guardian must attend a mandatory meet and greet in order to participate in this summer program.
All students for the High School Program must attend the mandatory all-day orientation in order to participate in this summer program. This ensures that the students are educated on the process and procedures of the hospital.

Yes, your commitment is to volunteer for the entire week (Monday – Friday). You will be assigned based on your selected preference either full days, AM session (08:45am-12:15pm), or PM Session (12:45-4:15pm).
One full week: either 17.5 hours (half days) or a max of 35 hours (full days) may be completed at Camp Prov. The remaining hours must be completed in the hospital setting.
In early August you will need to meet with the supervisor to discuss the possibility of volunteering during the school year.
