Facility information

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett offers a toll-free telephone interpreter service for patients and their families who speak little or no English. Patients and their families can call (888) 574-7127 toll-free and get connected to an operator who speaks their language.

The interpreter line can be used for things like making appointments or for family members calling to speak to a loved one who is a patient in the hospital.

Interpreters for as many as 127 languages

Callers to the toll-free number are immediately asked to select from among the five most commonly requested languages—Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Arabic or Somali—or they can choose “other languages” to access interpretation in as many as 127 different languages.

The caller is connected directly to an interpreter, who calls the needed hospital department and remains on the line to assist through the telephone conversations with hospital staff.

Patients of the hospital and clinics can also access traditional, interpreting services coordinated by Providence Regional staff for both in-person and phone interpreters. Several translated forms are available online.

Providence Regional Medical Center has unrestricted visiting hours. Family members are welcome 24/7, unless otherwise determined by your loved one’s care team. Your presence can be good medicine. But, please keep these guidelines in mind:

  • Smoking is not allowed in patient rooms, in the hospital or on hospital property.
  • Please don’t visit if you have a cold, sore throat or any contagious disease. It could jeopardize the health of your loved one – as well as everyone in the hospital.
  • Patients can tire easily. Please be mindful of that and allow them quiet time and rest to heal.
  • You may be asked to step outside a patient room during tests or treatments or when medical staff needs to see the patient.
  • Out of respect for the privacy of others, no photography is allowed in patient care areas.

Critical care

In the critical care unit, immediate family members may visit anytime – with the possible exception of shift change between 6:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Check with your loved one’s care team for more information.
