Spiritual Care

Providence Regional Medical Center is committed to complete patient care – physical, emotional and spiritual. Our team of chaplains is professionally trained and board certified. We listen attentively and do everything possible to understand and support you and your family. We’re here for you – regardless of your religious preference or spiritual need.

Chaplains are available anytime – day or night. If you’d like a chaplain to visit you, call 425-261-4550 or the hospital operator.

Your spiritual advisor, priest, minister or rabbi is always welcome to visit you at Providence Regional Medical Center. We respect the cultural and spiritual diversity of those we serve.

RMC_Pacific_ChapelProvidence Regional Medical Center offers a chapel at both locations (Pacific and Colby campuses). Our chapels offer a quiet, peaceful atmosphere for prayer and meditation.

You can write a specific request for a loved one in our Prayer Book or browse spiritual resources from various faith traditions.

Music Therapy

RMC_Harps_WebSacred Harmonies, our music-thanatology program, offers music to soothe patients and complement their medical care. Our professionally trained, board-certified musicians use harps and voice to create an atmosphere of peace and reverence for patients and families. We tailor the music to the patient, according to their breathing and heart rates.

In addition, Sacred Harmonies offers two music CDs – Beauty Awaits and Love’s Call – to patients at no cost.

Each patient room at Providence Regional features a cross, a reflection of our faith-based heritage and a symbol of hope and healing. Pediatric areas on the Colby Campus display the Salvadoran cross, which reflects the faces of children and people from around the world.

Comfort Dogs

RMC_AddieAt Providence Regional Medical Center, some of our care providers have four legs! Comfort dogs and their volunteer handlers bring comfort, support, unconditional love and joy to patients and families. Our team of dogs and their people is specially trained and certified by the Delta Society, a national organization that aims to improve health and well-being through interactions with animals.
