Providence Regional’s Spiritual Care Department is proud to offer Sacred Harmonies, peaceful bedside harp music, to provide patients time for contemplation and deep rest.
Music-thanatology is a professional field within the sub-specialty of end-of-life care. Sacred Harmonies music-thanatologists use harp and voice to create a gentle atmosphere of reverence and peace. The music is tailored to each patient according to his/her medical condition and respiration.
The music of Sacred Harmonies can help patients sleep, meditate, pray, or simply find a sense of peace. The soothing sound of the harp transcends language barriers and religious differences and benefits not only the patient, but the family, too.
Patients or family members can request therapeutic harp visits during times of anxiety, physical or spiritual restlessness, sleeplessness or discomfort.
To request a visit from a harpist, call 425-261-4550.

Sacred Harmonies’ professionally produced CDs, Love’s Call and Beauty Awaits, offer healing sounds to calm and soothe the mind, body and spirit. We offer a CD as a gift to patients after a harpist plays for them. The CDs are also available at online music stores. All proceeds support the work of Sacred Harmonies at Providence Regional.
