Providence Medical Laboratory Science Program - Spokane, WA

The Providence Sacred Heart School of Medical Laboratory Science celebrated its 85th anniversary in 2017. We pride ourselves in producing highly qualified medical laboratory science (MLS) graduates who are competent to enter the laboratory profession, highly recruited throughout the region, and become leaders in laboratory science.

Our staff includes dedicated and experienced clinical instructors, scientists, physicians and administrators from Sacred Heart Medical Center, Inland Northwest Blood Center and the hospitals of the Northwest Hospital Alliance.

  • Board of Certification pass rate: 100 percent last three years; 99.3 percent last 25 years

In the news

Thanks to a generous donation from the Blood Center Foundation of the Inland Northwest, each of the 2017-2018 MLS students were awarded scholarships as they began the school year. Past gifts from the foundation include scholarships for the classes of 2017, 2016 and 2015, as well as funding for a chemistry analyzer and dual-headed microscope used in our student lab.

Our Spokane, WA Medical Laboratory Science Program and Inland Northwest Blood Center have a long standing relationship, and work cooperatively in developing curriculum, sponsoring educational activities and being innovative in change and educational technologies. It's a mission we are proud to share.
