Welcome to Providence St. Peter Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program!

We offer an unopposed residency program in a community-based hospital that provides comprehensive, full scope family medicine training.

We have been recognized as a high level patient-centered medical home (PCMH) and have been training residents to be excellent full scope family physicians for almost 30 years. Residents have the unique opportunity to learn in a multidisciplinary setting including behaviorist, pharmacist, and physical therapist faculty members in order to provide our patients with the best care possible.

St. Peter Family Medicine was the first family medicine residency program that received Osteopathic recognition in Washington, and we encourage our DO residents to incorporate their osteopathic treatment in their continuity clinic.

As an intern, you will begin with strengthening your inpatient OB, pediatrics and medicine foundation while still being able to have one full day of clinic per week due to our Clinic First Curriculum. In your second year, the 2x2 curriculum will help you master the art of continuity clinic, and as a third year resident, you will enjoy the longitudinal curriculum with ample opportunities for electives. Also, we are located on the beautiful Puget Sound near the Olympic and Mt. Rainier National Parks providing plenty of outdoor opportunities for you to explore!
