Providence Hospitals Among Nation's 2011 "Most Wired"
January 01, 2011
All four Providence hospitals in Eastern Washington have earned the distinction of being among the most technologically-advanced hospitals in the country, according to the results of the 2011 “Most Wired” survey in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks magazine. The annual survey measures hospitals’ use of information technologies for quality, customer service, public health and safety, business processes and workforce issues.
“Our region’s hospitals are consistently recognized nationally for their commitment in advancing health information technology solutions to achieve high levels of automated patient care and clinical process improvements that lead to better patient care,” said Tom Fritz, chief executive officer of Inland Northwest Health Services (INHS).
Through INHS, Providence is connected to more than 45,000 users in hospitals, health care facilities and physician offices in multiple states through a health information technology network, allowing our providers to securely access critical electronic patient information.
