February Luncheon raises more than $100,000, honors local advocates
Spokane, WA—On February 25, the Ninth Annual Kids at Heart Lunch, presented by Providence Health Care Foundation, Eastern Washington, netted more than $100,000 to support pediatric cardiac care at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital.
“We are grateful to have such tremendous community support for Kids at Heart,” says Joyce M. Cameron, the Foundation's chief development officer. "The money raised at the lunch will allow us to purchase a new ventilator specifically for kids undergoing critical, life-saving heart surgeries.”
During the event three individuals and one organization received the Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital “Advocate of the Year” award. “These awards acknowledge those who share the Children’s Hospital’s vision of creating partnerships with the community to advocate for the good of children and families,” says Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital Director Tammy Powers.
