Dedicated to Healing

Located on the campus of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center & Children’s Hospital, St. Joseph is a 112-bed licensed skilled nursing facility with one of the highest patient acuity levels in the state, providing long-term care services as well as short-term rehabilitation care for orthopedic, cardiac and neurological patients as they transition from hospital to home.

For more than 80 years, Providence St. Joseph Care Center’s staff has lovingly served patients with special needs following surgery, and those who simply are no longer able to live independently. Our unwavering commitment to quality is matched with compassion, dignity and respect.

For aging patients who need psychiatric care, experts from Providence Sacred Heart’s psychiatry department are available for consultations and treatment. St. Joseph’s also has hospitalists on staff 24/7 to ensure a physician is available in the halls whenever the need arises.

Added in 2009, Providence Transitional Care Unit is designed specifically for short-term rehabilitation patients as they transition from the hospital and then to their homes. It offers a contemporary setting, private rooms and state-of-the-art therapy services.

Exciting changes at Providence St. Joseph Care Center

Providence St. Joseph Care Center launched a major remodel and renovation of our facility. Construction started in July 2016 and will be completed by December 2017.

The $14 million project includes remodeling the entire first and second floors of the facility. The renovations will transform our ministry and create a calm, soothing, modern environment with more private rooms. In addition, once the project is completed we will have increased capacity to care for patients who need short-term rehabilitation after a hospital stay.

Patient and resident care continues during construction

Providence St. Joseph Care Center will continue to admit Transitional Care Unit patients and continue caring for our current residents during the construction process. There will be a reduction in long-term care beds during the project to allow us to renovate existing space.

Please pardon our dust during construction, the end result is going to be beautiful!
