Cancer Services

For our patients, what matters most is being able to stay close to home without compromising on comprehensive cancer care.

We offer advanced treatments, a team of cancer experts and a broad range of support services – all in proximity to family, friends and the support of your community.

What to expect

Your cancer treatment may include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery or a combination of treatments. During cancer treatment, you’ll receive care from a team of cancer specialists, including cancer doctors (oncologists), registered nurses and social workers who are certified in cancer care.

Your team will customize a treatment plan based on your type of cancer, your lifestyle and your preferences.

Treatment may include one or more of the following:

  • Biological therapy
  • Chemotherapy in the form of pills or capsules that you take at home
  • Chemotherapy given through infusions in the cancer center
  • High-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy, which delivers radiation therapy through radioactive pellets placed in or near the tumor(s)
  • Hormone therapy, which can kill some types of cancer cells and cause cancers to stop growing
  • Immunotherapy, which uses the body’s own immune system to attack cancer cells
  • Radiation therapy, one of the most common treatments for cancer
  • Radiosurgery, a form of highly focused, high-dose radiation therapy
  • Surgery
