Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps to restore the activities of daily living that allow more independence, such as dressing, bathing, grooming and self-feeding. An occupational therapist will also assist with upper body function, dynamic and static balance, and adaptive equipment needs. Occupational therapy services are available for:

  • Stroke and neuromuscular disease rehabilitation
  • Cancer
  • Upper extremity injuries (fractures, shoulder replacements, arthritis, joint contractures, hand injuries)
  • Lower extremity injuries (hip replacement, knee replacement, fractures)
  • Back surgeries and spinal cord injury
  • Pulmonary disease
  • Assessment for and training with adaptive equipment
