Adult inpatient psychiatry services are provided at Providence for adults between the ages of 18 and 55, and seniors aged 56 and over who are experiencing an acute phase of depression, bipolar illness, schizophrenia and/or significant problems of living associated with personality disorders. The primary focus of this short-stay, acute care is to assist patients in stabilization and symptom management, in order to return to the community for continued care.
