Also known as: Outpatient Rehabilitation

Sometimes, after a serious injury, surgery or illness, you need rehabilitation to help you recover. At Providence, our team works with you to develop a personalized plan to help you feel your best again.

Providence offers outpatient rehabilitation services for conditions such as back injuries, strokes, orthopedic injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome. Our therapists offer services including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language therapy.

We promote independence and responsibility in the rehabilitation process, and place a strong emphasis on functional rehabilitation, functional outcomes and home program development.

Our Services

  • Aquatic Physical Therapy

Aquatic physical therapy is the practice of physical therapy by a trained and licensed physical therapist or physical therapist assistant in a water-filled pool. The buoyancy, support and accommodating resistance of the water enhance exercise and create a safe environment for progressive rehabilitation.
  • Hand Therapy

Providence provides hand therapy to people of all ages who have disabilities or injuries that interfere with their ability to use their arms and/or hands effectively.
  • Neurological Rehabilitation

We treat patients with a variety of neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, strokes, myasthenia gravis, Guillan-Barré and many more.
  • Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps people with physical, developmental or emotional disabilities lead independent, productive and fulfilling lives.
  • Pediatric Therapy

Our multidisciplinary approach to pediatric occupational, physical and speech therapies offers a unique advantage to the children we treat.
  • Pelvic Health Therapy

The physical and occupational therapists at Providence provide expert treatment for pelvic floor dysfunction for men and women and prenatal/postpartum care for women.
  • Physical Therapy

Physical therapists diagnose and treat patients of all ages who have medical conditions, health-related problems or injuries that limit their ability to move and perform functional activities of daily life. The goal of physical therapy is to get you back to daily activity without pain as safely and quickly as possible.
  • Speech Therapy

Speech or language pathologists focus on evaluating, diagnosing and treating people with oral communication disorders. Speech therapists are instrumental in preventing problems related to speech, language, cognitive communication, voice and fluency. This includes both receptive (understanding speech) and expressive (speaking) communication problems. Speech therapists also treat people with swallowing disorders due to stroke, brain injury or nervous system impairments.
  • Sports Medicine

Sports medicine involves non-operative orthopedic care for patients who experience sports and exercise-related injuries. We work closely with local orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, radiologists and athletic trainers.
