Free 5K Heart Health Fun Run
No preregistration. Just come, have fun and get a free T-shirt
Providence Medical Group will host its seventh annual free 5K Heart Health Fun Run along the Mill Creek Channel. Free T-shirts will be given to participants, while supplies last.
The event is suitable for adults and children. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are also welcome. It starts and ends at the Rooks Park picnic shelter near the Mill Creek Channel (a different location than in previous years). It’s intended to be a casual, fun event—not a race.
In lieu of a registration fee, participants are invited to “heal it forward” and bring cleaning supplies for The Loft—the teen homeless shelter in Walla Walla for unaccompanied youth ages 12-17. Items most needed are:
- Clorox wipes
- Paper towels
- Dishwasher detergent
- All-purpose cleaners
- Laundry detergent
- Bathroom cleaners
- Floor cleaners/mop solutions
Monetary donations also will be accepted. Checks can be made payable to “Catholic Charities,” specifying “The Loft Teen Shelter” in the memo line.
Providence Medical Group hosts the run/walk each year to help promote heart health in our community.
